MYTH #1:

Birth trauma only happens in hospitals.

This myth leaves women birthing outside of hospital settings at risk for undiagnosed birth trauma. When their emotional experience isn’t recognized or supported, they may internalize it and end up blaming themselves or believing they did something wrong.

Birth trauma can happen anywhere—at home, in a birth center, or in the hospital. It’s about how a person experiences fear, loss of control, or feeling unheard—not the location of birth. Recognizing this allows doulas to provide consistent, trauma-informed care and help parents process their experience with compassion and support.

Why Now is the Perfect Time

Families are seeking doulas who can provide trauma-informed support.

This training helps you:

Confidently support clients through birth trauma

Use practical tools you can apply immediately

Protect yourself from burnout and vicarious trauma

Stand out as a skilled, knowledgeable doula

There’s never been a better time to invest in your skills, your confidence, and your career while making a real difference for the families you serve.

The Cost of Waiting

Every day without trauma-informed training is a day you risk feeling unprepared, overwhelmed, or unsure with your clients. Right now, too many doulas rely on filling clients full of information to prevent trauma and the results show this is not an effective strategy in today's fear based medical system.

Waiting to learn these critical skills can lead to burnout, missed opportunities, and families not receiving the support they need.

Gain confidence, practical tools, and resilience so you can show up fully for your clients and yourself.

Worried You’re Not Ready for Birth Trauma?

Many doulas hesitate because supporting clients through trauma feels overwhelming or beyond their experience. While doulas are not therapists, we are often the first line of support for families in crisis. Our ability to respond and support makes a real difference. In this workshop, we will talk about the real difference doulas can make without overstepping their role.

This workshop gives you practical tools, confidence, and guidance to handle trauma-informed care safely so you can show up fully for clients, protect yourself, and grow your career without fear.

My Personal Commitment To You

By the end of this 3-part series, you won’t just understand trauma—you’ll know exactly how to respond. You’ll have:

A clear roadmap for supporting clients who have experienced birth trauma, so you always know your next step.

Practical tools and strategies you can use immediately, from communication techniques to grounding exercises.

The confidence to guide clients safely, while preventing re-traumatization.

A framework for caring for yourself, so you can sustain your practice without burnout.

You’ll also have the opportunity to take advantage of the same roadmap I’ve personally used to confidently support clients through birth trauma. By the end, you’ll feel prepared, grounded, and empowered—ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the families you serve.
